I'm afraid so.
And some of us with jobs & lives have to go to bed. I dont want to be dreaming about this crap as I sleep so I'll be logging off.

When it's all said and done - the schools lack much to be desired and I do believe any child of mine deserves better.
I can rest easy knowing I'll do what it takes to do the best by my child should I have one one day (even if it means saying "screw the public schools we're outta here").

BTW - intentional centralization of economic development in Wise/Norton is just that - intentional. Pound doesn't have the offerings and refuses to provide offerings to bring development. They won't even permit a fast food joint in town limits (not that I consider that great development, but it's a legitimate example)! And why would national chains even want to come to a town with a population of 1000? Most chains (retail/restaurant) have population and traffic flow requirements before they'll even consider a particular location.
Industries are choosing, of all places, industrial parks provided by other towns. Pound refuses to do that. Pound won't recruit. Money won't come to a former coal town these days - the town has to go recruiting it.
Pound is shooting itself in the foot.
